Propelling Ourselves into a New Reality Construct
This is a short month packed with intense astrology that will potentially affect our lives for decades to come. First, Uranus turns direct for the last time in Taurus on Feb 4th. We've hopefully learned our lessons regarding what has true value in our life beyond money.
We will have the first Mercury retro of the year starting Feb 26th in Pisces so we may have a chance to review our creative and romantic options and determine if they are still viable in this rapidly changing environment.
The eclipse season begins with a solar eclipse in Aquarius on Feb 17th that will, in some cases, reprise issues from 2018 - 2019 when an earlier series of Leo/Aquarius eclipses were set in motion. This will likely affect our President in some way.
The major astrology event of the year - if not the decade - occurs on Feb 20th with the arrival of the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0 Aries. This is the moment when a solid structure, literal or metaphorical, is revealed to be weakened or corrupted. The reason this may have a global implication is that is is occurring on the World Axis degree of 0 Aries which has not seen a Saturn/Neptune conjunction on this point for over 1500 years! Fall of the Roman Empire, anyone?

what is most important in my life?
Uranus travelling through Taurus since 2018 has upended various old structures, attitudes and values. Prominent among them would be our sense of money and self-worth. Certainly, the economy and the material plane are becoming more challenging and we are invited to reassess what truly has meaning in our lives.
This does not mean we must accept abject poverty and universal basic income (although that may be a necessary temporary step in the elimination of jobs due to AI) but rather place our focus on the human elements that make life worth living - love, relationships, health, right work, creativity, contribution to society.

Solar Eclipse in Aquarius Feb 17th

The first eclipse of the year is in edgy Aquarius at a very late degree (28 Aquarius). I've used the analogy that when it comes to degrees in a sign (of which there are 30), the later degrees are much more potent.
Aquarius energy is volatile on its own and this eclipse will also occur a few days before the Saturn/Neptune conjunction on Feb 20th. It is likely that there will be some form of military intervention or technological breakdown or advancement. In our personal lives, we may see what areas are either extremely fragile or places where we can activate a special type of skill or genius.
This new eclipse cycle of Aquarius/Leo presages the nodes moving into this sign pair in July 2026 and also replicate energy to eclipses in 2018 and 2019. Hence, there are likely to be more challenges to the Trump administration and even his health as the president's rising sign is 28 Leo.

On February 20th, Saturn and Neptune conjoin at 0 Aries for the first time in over 1500 years. This heralds a global reorganization that will take decades to settle into a new form. The conflagration in Iran, the seizing of Venezuelan assets, talk of annexing Greenland, these are the outer forms this breakdown might take.
Whatever event happens may appear small in scope and effect, similar to covid which initially reported a few cases in Jan 2020 only to broaden to include the entire world.
Internationally, institutions or governments that seemed impermeable may finally break down as did communism with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 (the most recent Saturn/Neptune conjunction).
The rhetorical saber rattling of the Trump administration may lead to the disintegration of NATO while the financial markets and the supremacy of the dollar may collapse due to overextension and malfeasance.
The gerontocracy will finally give way to new leaders who are in greater alignment with current reality.
Novel cultural movements and styles of music, art, film and fashion may likely grow out of the detritus of industries crippled by bureaucracy and greed.
Other positive manifestations may include a new spiritual and political mission for the United States (the conjunction lands on the base of the U.S. chart, our "soul" point), Additionally, there may be more efforts toward equalizing resources either through transparent or ideological means. There is a renewed interest in socialism and communism for a generation raised in hyper capitalism and this utopian vision will likely fail as have previous attempts at social engineering. Yet, the spirit of compassion and equal rights will blossom provided the surveillance state is not fully installed.
For us as individuals, it could be a wake up call to be "all that we can be" by initiating exciting new goals and adventures.

can these old dreams fit into the new reality?
Both Neptune and Saturn recently moved out of Pisces in January and February respectively after 15 years and 2 1/2 years in the sign of dissolution/deception/confusion/ spiritualization. We were forced to face reality in one area of life in particular.
There are early sproutings of a new dream or vision but this Mercury retrograde may have us retracing or releasing parts of the recent past in order to move forward cleanly into Aries terrain.
What last vestige of hope or ideas can we gather up or release?
