RELINQUISHING THE PAST IN SERVICE TO A YET UNKNOWN FUTURE
As the year ends, we quite definitely wrap up not only 2025 but relationships, events, patterns that can go back to 2011 (when Neptune went into Pisces) as well as 30 yrs ago (a Saturn in Pisces cycle). So clearly the winter of a lifetime's worth of stories.
Neptune turns direct for the last time in Pisces on Dec 10th. As usual, we may capture a glimpse of something we hadn't seen before or that had been obstructed from view (or kept secret from us). Usually nothing major but revelatory nonetheless.
The early part of the month revolves around Sagittarius with Venus and Mercury joining the Sun in Sag last month. Of course, with Jupiter in Cancer (Sag's planet) home gatherings and festivities are in order.
Jupiter will also be travelling back and forth over the world axis degree of 22 Cancer now through May prompting us to find our way home to Cancer, the mother. In this time of technology overreach, how will we care for each other and for our Earth Mother.
The second half of the month has the personal planets, Mars, Sun and Venus moving into Capricorn on Dec 18th, 22nd and 26th respectively. Capricorn is more serious and ready to bring things into manifestation. There will be a wonderfully solid quadruple conjunction of Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Capricorn next month Jan 11th - 19th and this is when we will have the universal energy to build something long-tasting for the next leg of our as yet unknown journey.
Neptune direct in Pisces Dec 10th

Neptune (planet of fantasies, dreams and delusions) is finishing up its 15 year cycle in Pisces early next year. This year will be the last direct station of Neptune in the sign of its own rulership, amplifying the effect of the transit.
This past year has been one of waking up and facing reality. In many cases, this "facing reality" has resulted in recognizing that a current relationships, career, location or situation are no longer viable or helpful to you.
But we've been given many indicators that the story is over, especially in one realizes it WAS an illusion/projection on one's part and that for our own survival's sake, we must move on.
There will be a new dream emerging next year but first we must acknowledge and mourn what we have lost.
The annual Neptune station direct usually reveals a truth that was previously missing. So in this very "terminal" instance, we may gain clarity about why we were so attached or wedded to the particular relationship or scenario. Of course, generally these situations are karmic in nature and are instances of shaking us loose of false hopes, misplaced trust and they oftentimes are repeating the earliest stories of abuse and abandonment.
So while not enjoyable, the "get" that will present itself this month will be worth much of the struggle as one understands why they were drawn to believe in something or someone who could not deliver (just like a parent).
Additionally, with Neptune being in the sign of addiction and confusion, it would have been "natural" to have become attached to believing in the dream, even if reality was not in sync.
Forgive yourself (Pisces) and surrender the pain of your loss and know that soon there will be a new adventure in store for you, one which may be more energized and direct than these past 15 years.

While much of the month is Jupiterian/Sagittarian in nature, as well move deeper into December we begin to encounter the energy of Capricorn. First Mars and then the Sun and Venus enter the serious sign of manifestation on Dec 18th, 22nd and 26th respectively.
Yes, Capricorn is more serious and as the season extends into the new Year, it is one of completing the old year and building energy for the New Year. And January 2026 will host a relatively quadruple conjunction of the Sun, Venus, Mars and Mercury in Capricorn Jan 11th through 19th. This is a powerful time of bringing ideas and opportunities into form.
In the meantime, we can start to build foundations and enjoy the already existing traditions (Capricorn relating to history, hierarchy, the rules of society) that this time will bring.

And during the month of December, particularly the week of Dec 21st, it will be hovering slowly over the world axis degree of 22 Cancer.
This degree has been active during covid when Pluto weighed heavily on it decimating families and finances while throughout out lifetimes we have experienced numerous eclipses on the axis of Cancer/Capricorn.
Cancer and Capricorn reflect the archetypes of mother and father, heart vs. head. And even as patriarchal and corporate institutions have faltered, we as a society have also failed to nurture each other leaving many destitute and homeless.
And recently, with the government shutdown, we were made aware of the large number of Americans who were dependent on SNAP benefits, a travesty in the wealthiest nation on earth.
How can we take care of the least of us, a missive of most abrahamic traditions?
In these increasingly automated and dissociated times, the heart connection is even more important and necessary for humankind to survive.
Now every holiday season is Jupitererian in nature as Sagittarius the planet ruled by Jupiter ushers in the festivities. But this year, we might even try harder to gather those we hold dear and provide a sense of family and nurturance to friends and strangers alike.
Will we succeed in creating a stronger connection with those around us?
We may get our answer next summer when Mercury retrogrades in Cancer on these same degree points from June 29th through July 23rd and this may be when some of our dreams of community and safety come true.
Jupiter is also extravagance and even though food prices are high, it is natural to overspend or over give at this time. Generosity should never be pathologized and as long as we can afford to extend support to others without hurting ourselves, it is an honor and blessing to do so.
