Speeding Toward a New Personal and Global Paradigm
In a month that will have many minor annoying transits, the main event is the annual Pluto station retrograde on May 6th. As Pluto has only been in Aquarius for 3 out of its 20 yr. cycle, we are still getting used to what this transpersonal energy will entail.
As mentioned last month, whenever a personal planet conjoins or squares an outer planet, more information about the transit will be revealed. As in April, Mercury, Venus, Sun and Mars will, at different points, interact with either Pluto in Aquarius or Saturn and Neptune in Aries, adding nuance to the bigger picture.
Uranus newly ensconced in Gemini will also trigger mini epiphanies and/or explosions regarding how our minds work and what communities we might decide to align with. Uranus does impel rapid changes, separations or developments in the house that it is traversing so we can expect a fairly busy interpersonal month.
And, of course, the global hierarchy is destabilizing and it will take some time and several crises to sort out the new geopolitical order which will certainly be multipolar in nature.
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius May 6th

On May 6th, Pluto retrogrades at 5 degrees of Aquarius. Plutonian transits always reflect dramatic cultural shifts and a new emerging zeitgeist. As Pluto has been in Aquarius for a couple of years now, entering the sign in 2023, we are starting to perceive the contours of the global changes up ahead.
The primary one is the increasingly encroaching omnipresence of technology and surveillance apparatus. Not only is this evident in how wars are being waged, but also in law enforcement and medicine, for good or ill.
AI is changing the employment landscape and eliminating many white collar positions. My mantra about employment choices are "the only jobs we need going forward are teacher, healer, artist and farmer."
Massive layoffs have been occurring at high profile technology companies as well as accounting and banking firms. And contrary to 2008 and the financial crisis, with the exception of AI agents, there are no new or different jobs to be had.
Eventually we will be faced with making difficult economic and political decisions, most likely moving in the direct of more socialism and UBI. Pluto in Aquarius is not only the dark side of technology, but the fallout of collectivist movements which, as long as corruptions exists, will also prove to be unworkable or unrealistic.
Can we imagine a different more equitable future that still allows some personal agency? That will be the question over the next two decades and we will likely figure it out by trial and error.
In the meantime, we will be faced with important crossroads within our own lives as to where power and building a future will lie. What is the proper balance of humanity with technology? How can we develop our own internal technology - i.e. our body's ability to heal and regulate itself? How can meditation alter our brain chemistry and make us more attuned to our environments while offering clarity and solutions to our current predicaments?

Uranus in Gemini will be speeding up thinking and communication all around. Some of this will be due to new technology as well as the curiosity and need to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.

One of the fallouts of the war with Iran are dwindling fuel and chemical supplies, particularly fertilizer ingredients. This will be placing stress on an already devolving food supply chain.
It is not unlikely that there will be resource wars in the immediate future when the necessities of life become impossible to obtain.
This may be what we witness on the world stage but in our personal lives we may also be fighting for territory, position or power in one particular area of life:
ARIES - what you believe you're worth vs what the "powers that be" want to pay you
TAURUS - knowing what you need to do for the long haul vs what "the market" wants on a short term basis

Venus in Cancer, the nurturer confronts the restrictions of Neptune and then Saturn in Aries on May 22nd and May 29th respectively. Venus in Cancer believes in unconditional love while Neptune has a different dream of independence and Saturn one of creating boundaries.
While not the most profound transits, Venus finds she gets circumscribed in her naivete and recognizes that she will need to "toughen" up in order to survive the coming times. For a variety of reasons, primarily Saturn/Neptune leaving Pisces, the sign of victimhood, we will not readily countenance too much weakness, emotionality and immaturity. A more realistic "conditional" love will be required to master and thrive in the coming times of potential scarcity, war and revolutionary upheaval.

To reiterate, the Pluto in Aquarius transit, which will last until 2044, will test us all in our resolve to make the world a better place. We must let the corruption and false structures of the past fall away but not be brainwashed into thinking a technocratic oligarchy is our salvation.
The human world still needs an connection to the natural biological order and if something must be sacrificed, it must be our reliance on science and technology to fix or explain reality. Because contrary to binary thinking of 0's and 1's, we must cognize that we are multidimensional beings trying to create on a four-dimensional chessboard. Let's not get caught up in the false panopticon that wants to destroy our humanity and focus on our essential connection to the spiritual co-creative realm where all things are possible.
